Engineering Exploring Post Open House
October 10, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Does a career that centers around engineering, programming, and robotics interest you?
How about 3-D printing, electronics, or mechanical engineering?
If so, then you are invited to the Fostoria Learning Center’s Engineering Exploring Post.
Exploring provides students with career education, workforce development skills, and networking opportunities through hands-on experiences. Through once a month meetings, Explorers are exposed to the numerous career opportunities that exist in their community.
This Post will provide students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the world of robotics, mechanical engineering, and chemical engineering from local professionals. Not only will students begin to understand what the career is, but will also learn about the opportunities in their own community. Exploring exists to help students understand if a certain career is the right fit for them, as opposed to diving into student loan debt in college. Come ‘Discover Your Future’ with Exploring!
Please join us for our Open House on October 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fostoria Learning Center, located at 342 Perry Street, Fostoria. Parents are encouraged to attend this informational meeting. This program does have a registration fee of $22. This fee provides all participants with general liability insurance while they are a registered Explorer. Financial assistance is available, don’t let finance discourage you from this great opportunity. To join this post, attend the open house, submit a youth application, and pay the registration fee. Applications will be available at the open house.
If you have questions or would like to RSVP, contact Matt Kibler at matt.kibler@scouting.org or at 567-245-1259. We look forward to seeing you there!
