Fostoria City School’s 8th Graders toured the Fostoria Learning Center to find out more about skills-based careers in the construction, mechatronics, and medical fields. The instructors spent time with each group and gave them a practical insight into each of these career fields. The students saw:

  • a FANUC robot in action — and one or two of them even got to try it for themselves!
  • how to pull a wire through a length of pipe using a vacuum cleaner
  • real-time medical laboratory tests as they were being carried out

Thank you to the instructors from ABC, Marion Technical College, and Terra State Community College for taking time out of your classes to talk with the students.
