The Fostoria Learning Center was thrilled to be a stop on today’s Manufacturing Bus Tour, organized by OhioMeansJobs—Seneca County as part of  the In-Demand Jobs Week. Approximately 40 teachers from 8 local schools and State Representative Bill Reineke boarded a charter bus and took a tour of the following locations: Church & Dwight in Old Fort, NSI Crankshaft and the Fostoria Learning Center in Fostoria, and Arnold Machine and Taiho Corporation of America in Tiffin, with lunch at the Sentinel Vocational Center. The lunch was prepared by the Culinary and Hospitality students and the school Superintendent addressed the group. The goal of the tour is to expose educators to today’s manufacturing facilities, eliminate misconceptions about the environment, and inform them of the need for skilled labor.
