This is an introductory-level course designed to build a foundation of essential skills in Microsoft™ Word as well as a greater understanding of the interface and design elements. Fundamental tasks will be the focus including writing, proofing, finalizing and printing.

Microsoft™ PowerPoint Basics

Presentations are effective platforms for sharing information and keeping an audience engaged. This course is an introductory course designed to explore the basic design principles of slideshow creation.  Participants will learn to build visually engaging slideshow presentations by adding images, shapes and SmartArt. Presentation methods, color selection and fonts for readability to be included.

Microsoft™ Excel Basics

Microsoft™ Excel is a powerful spreadsheet software utilized by businesses to organize and manage data related to business operations. This course is an introductory-level course designed to explore data entry, basic formulas and formatting. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the most popular Excel commands and functions.

Microsoft™ Outlook

This half day class is designed to help the beginner become comfortable with the Microsoft™ Outlook email interface.  Learn to create, send and organize emails as well as create calendars and contacts.

Google Docs

This half day course is an introduction to Google Docs.  Learn to become more productive creating docs on the Google platform. Document fundamentals including justification, cut|copy|paste concepts, page setup and printing will be demonstrated and practiced. Explore how to share Google Docs among colleagues.

Excel Introduction Level 1

This course is intended to help all users get up to speed on the different features of Excel and to become familiar with its more advanced selection of features. We will cover how to create and use advanced formulas, analyze data, organize worksheet data with tables, visualize data with charts, insert graphics, and enhance workbooks.

Excel Intermediate Level 2

This, the second level of the Excel training program, explores the advanced features in Excel 2016. Students will cover how to automate worksheet functionality, audit worksheets, analyze data, work with multiple workbooks, export Excel data and import/export XML data.

Excel Pivot Tables

New to pivot tables or want to get more out of them? This 4 hr course is designed to give you a solid understanding of pivot tables.  Pivot tables are a powerful tool within Excel that can be used to analyze, sort, filter and present  data in an understandable way.

Basics of Business Accounting and Quickbooks

Understanding your basic business accounting and knowing how to read business financials is key to small business success.  Learn how to properly set up your financials in Quickbooks and save time and money for you and your accountant with streamlined accurate reports and documentation.  This course will teach the basics of business accounting and assist you with setting up your business financials in Quickbooks. The course includes Quickbooks software so enrollees are encouraged to bring a laptop or flash drive to each class.

Time: Monday and Wednesday 6-8:30 p.m., four 2.5 hour sessions in each block

Basic Business Website Building & Social Media

This two hour class will walk you through the steps to building a website using WIX.  Additional information will be given using other sites, some free some not.  The class will also discuss different ways to reach target audiences as well as define commonly used terms in marketing and web design.
