The STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) training prepares students to work as a skilled, trained caregiver who works in an assisting role, helping registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and physicians in the delivery of patient care. STNAs require formal training, testing, a criminal background check and passage of a state licensing examination. STNAs can work in a variety of healthcare settings such as long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice care facilities, and health clinics.

This 75-hour training includes 16 hours of clinical training and 59 hours of lecture and skill laboratory practice. The lecture and skill laboratory practice will take place at the Fostoria Learning Center, with the 16 hours of clinical training to take place in a local nursing home facility.

Class Dates: April 13 – 21 / 9:00am-:5:00pm

Clinicals: April 22 & 23 / 2:00pm-10:00pm (Good Shepherd Home)

Final Class: April 24 / (Half-Day)
