The Fostoria Learning Center, in partnership with Owens Community College, are pleased to announce their new program: Modern Manufacturing Fundamentals Training. This program came about as a result of a meeting with the Fostoria Learning Center and several local manufacturing companies who had identified a need for training their new hires. This training covers key manufacturing topics such as:
- Lean principles and culture
- Precision measurement
- Workplace safety
- Print reading
- Automation and mechanical awareness.
It’s designed to be as flexible as possible for the company and their employees, and is being delivered over three separate modules. The company can then decide whether to send their employee on all three modules or just specific modules — depending on their training needs. This training is also beneficial to existing employees who need a refresher on some of these topics.
