SUMMARY:Summer Basic Electricity
DESCRIPTION:Length 24 hours \n$2000 per student \nBasic Electricity I is an introductory electricity \ncourse for skilled trade’s personnel. The course \nis a study of DC and AC electricity principles\, \nwith a practical approach to applications in an \nindustrial environment. The learner will obtain a \nknowledgeable understanding of the key symbols \nand abbreviations associated with the electrical \ntrade\, acquire a comprehensive understanding of \nbasic electrical terminology\, apply Ohm’s Law to \na number of relevant electrical applications\, and \nsynthesize a number of components into a \nworking system involving series\, parallel\, and \nseries parallel

SUMMARY:Motors and Motor Controls
DESCRIPTION:Length: 24 Hours \n$2000 per student \nThis course is an application of common \nelectrical concepts and relay ladder logic/motor \ncontrol circuits used in industry to maintain and \ntroubleshoot electrical power and control \nsystems\, including variable frequency drive \nsystems. Students will learn how to install\, \noperate\, maintain\, and troubleshoot \nsingle[1]phase transformers\, NEMA and IEC \ncontactors & motor starters\, motor branch \ncircuits\, and reversing circuits (power & \ncontrol). A heavy focus of the course will be on \nvariable frequency drives. Students will learn to \ninstall\, maintain\, program and troubleshoot \nindustrial programmable VFDs. The course will \nfocus on 3 types of VFD: Automation Direct’s \nGS2\, Allen Bradley PowerFlex 70 and Allen \nBradley PowerFlex 525. The topics presented \nwill be learned through online instructional \nmaterial\, and hands-on labs.
